ACU Fall 2007 Programming Contest

On Saturday, November 3rd, three teams will represent ACU at the ACM 2007 ICPC Regional Programming Contest. These teams will be composed of the best, most skilled programmers in the entire student body. These select students will compete against the top teams from other undergraduate and graduate-level programs in Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas — and win.

In 2006, ACU's first team placed ninth in a competition of 67 teams — beating the other 20 teams from undergraduate universities. This year, will you be one to lead us to victory?

Never been to a contest before?

You're here. You've been taking classes; you've done some programming; now you want to see what you've got. Get your feet wet. See what it's really like to compete in this arena. If you want to be challenged, to have fun, to learn from your mistakes, and to take pride in what you can do so far, form your team of three and come participate in the ACU Programming Contest, Saturday, October 13th. You'll compete against teams of other ITC students (and against Dr. Dwayne Towell) for the pride of success, for the opportunity to move on to the ACM regional contest, and for the sheer fun of competition. So seize this chance to gain some experience, stretch your mind, improve your skills, and enjoy some "friendly" competition.

Think you have what it takes?

We know you. You've been around ITC for a while now. You've invested countless hours listening to lectures, learning code, and poring over problems. You thrive on the challenge. And you're good. It's time for you to show what you can do. On Saturday, October 13th, your three-person team will have the opportunity to engage in a test of skill and stamina, competing against other ITC teams for the honor of representing ACU at the ACM 2007 ICPC Regional Programming Contest this fall. Many teams will play — only three will be chosen. Who knows? Your team might even beat Dwayne Towell.
